OUR STORY & MISSION
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Bridges of Life is a training community whose home base is in the Cévennes region of the South of France. We are an extended family of followers of Jesus who embrace the unique lifestyle of worship and prayer that overflows into the manifestation of the presence of the Kingdom of Jesus in our world. We choose to live a value-centered lifestyle. We believe that our Heavenly Father will accomplish His purposes in and through us as we hold fast to whom He has called us to be. The unique nature and characteristics of our call can be defined by our five values below.

Worship
and Intercession
Worship and intercession changes everything. It changes us. It changes the spiritual atmosphere around us. And It changes those who step into that atmosphere. We are called to have a lifestyle of worship and intercession.
Revival
Revival happens when we people step into an atmosphere transformed by the Presence of the Living God. We take that presence with us where ever we go. people are impacted by the life and love of the Father and are drawn closer to the Kingdom of Jesus.
ComMunity
Community is not something we create, but a lifestyle we enter into. The Father, Son, and Spirit already enjoy community. We have been invited into their love and joy. Community is a gift from the Father that we gratefully receive, humbly embrace and faithfully share.

Multiplying
As followers of Jesus we have been called to ‘be disciples’, ‘make disciples’ and ‘disciple the nations’. Therefore we pursue a lifestyle of being a ‘training community’. Some of our training is formal, and is defined as a school. But much of our training, and perhaps the most important part, occurs in an informal way by living, working, resting, and playing together.
Hospitality
Hospitality is a gift, a privilege and a responsibility. Therefore we live a lifestyle of blessing others through beauty and the ‘art of welcome’. We also believe that we have been invited into a heritage that has continued for centuries as being a
‘place of refuge’.

Youth With A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.
When YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was giving young people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members (known as “YWAMers”) of almost every age and many of our short-term efforts have grown into long-term endeavors that have impacted lives and nations.

YWAM has a decentralized structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel and care for those in need. We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.
